Satoshi Nakamoto is the pseudonymous figure responsible for creating Bitcoin, the first decentralized cryptocurrency. In 2008, Nakamoto published the Bitcoin white paper, outlining a peer-to-peer electronic cash system. This paper laid the foundation for blockchain technology. In 2009, Nakamoto released the first Bitcoin software, effectively launching the cryptocurrency.
