Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Attack
A Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Attack is a malicious attempt to disrupt the normal functioning of a targeted server, service, or network. This is done by overwhelming the target or its surrounding infrastructure with a flood of Internet traffic. Attackers use multiple compromised computer systems as sources of attack traffic, often creating a network of infected devices known as a botnet. The goal is to render the service unavailable to its intended users by consuming its resources, leading to downtime and potential financial losses. DDoS attacks are a significant threat to online services, including crypto/fiat exchanges like ChicksX.
